One of the great things to see is for the diehard fans of horse racing is the contenders. In this case, the Kentucky Derby 2018 contenders have been proposed by few oddsmakers. These are also voted by the spectacle enthusiast around the world. Many agree that the rankings have things to do with what happened in the trail to Churchill Downs. The contender’s rankings are also pivotal to show the hype of the fans toward the promising runners. Since the juveniles officially turn 3 this weekend, there are top listed that we would like to highlight in this post.
The lists that we take maybe not 100% accurate. But it is indeed close. The 2-year-old Bolt d’Oro holds the first rank. Good Magic was expected to be the top contender but the second spot belongs to Principe Guilherme.

Principe Guilherme has been trained by Steve Asmussen. The contender won the Fairgrounds allowance by 11 ¾ lengths. He will advance to the upcoming pivotal event in the Grade 3 Lecomte. Meanwhile, some folks’ favorite Good Magic holds the third position before Marconi.

Besides these top three, you might want to see the other promising runners. In no.11, we know that we can’t expect more from Biblical. He remains at 11th after missing the board in the Grade 2 Remsen Stakes. The coach Todd Pletcher had done everything he could to optimize the performance. The trainee broke the maiden on November 17. He competed against Avery Island when none of them were the winners.

St. Patrick’s Day broke his maiden September 2. Since then, he hasn’t made a single appearance. He hasn’t shown any records the last two months and probably before the Kentucky Derby 2018. But he remains to hold the no. 12 Rank.

Meanwhile, the winner of Del Mar’s Cecil B DeMille Stakes, Analyze It, is still holding his spot in the main track. The trainee of Chad Brown is still in the 16th rank on our list.

If you are like other horse racing diehard fans, you need to keep in mind that this list is not a privilege. So, you can add your own ratings, either by moving up or down the runners. You can simply put the contenders on your own list.
Okay, let’s move forward to the top maidens that you could expect in the Kentucky Derby 2018.
First things first, we have Nero. He made his debut on August 27th at Del Mar. Surprisingly, folks see him as a promising runner. Bob Baffert can look at this prospect. He is the son of Pioneer of the Nile. He was sold for $950,000 as a yearling. As expected, he ends up as the odds-on favorite at 1-2.

Nero hs appeared to be more promising than expected before by the owner. He has had easy victories. Nero probably did not make it in the debut. But everybody agrees that he is a very promising contender. Although he has been put aside, he has been training routinely at Santa Anita for the return performance.

The next one is Shiver Me Timbers. The contender can be back on the Kentucky Derby this year. Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, many put their hopes to this boy. Under jockey Mike Smith, he has helped set fractions of 22.78, 47.05, and 1:11.74. Shiver Me Timbers has endured the wide trip.
Not to mention, Peace also deserves the spot after finishing very close to Shiver Me Timbers. Richard Mandella the trainer has successfully brought him to debut at Santa Anita. He should not be maiden in anytime longer. He is potentially joining the Derby trail.

Kentucky Derby 2018 – The Top Maidens to Monitor

Many folks are always enthusiastic about welcoming the big winners and promising horses for the Kentucky Derby 2018. Not to mention that these horses are a hot daily topic because of the road to the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks trail in 2018. But the history has taught us that some underdogs can surprisingly rise to reserve the spot on the main road of the prestigious events.

Kentucky Derby 2018

For instance, folks were shocked by IRAP which won the Grade 2 Blue Grass Stakes as a maiden. Meanwhile, the recent occurrence was happening when the Good Magic got the big victory in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile without any rewarding record in the past time.

Well, these are not all. We can’t forget what happened back then in 2016 when Laoban won at big odds.

What we want to procure is that although this year there are some obvious contenders and promising horses, some underdogs can show their true talents unexpectedly.
The potents will expand to the extent of winning. This year Kentucky Derby is also happening. There are some maidens that we need to consider. They have big potents to twist the Kentucky Derby and Oaks trails if they continue to develop their capabilities.

Let’s see the Midnight Bisou. We knew that Dream Tree deserves the Grade 1 Starlet Stakes. But what people might overlook is the fact that Midnight Bisou was entailing her many times. Midnight Bisou was twice within the edge of beating her. In fact, Midnight Bisou was far in the front after the wire. So, what does it mean? Midnight Bisou can be deadly when she is developing. Dream Tree is now at top 10, but Midnight Bisou can catch up really fast if left it be.

The next name that we’d like to highlight is TRANSGRESS. TRANSGRESS debuted at the same time with Sporting Chance. Sporting Chance is his stablemate. The debut has been challenging him down to earth at first. But he is a badass. He didn’t give up for a bit. On the contrary, he was encouraged and finished the race with proud. He finished the second behind Free Drop Billy. TRANSGRESS has made a promising result in his debut although he had a minor injury. He had satisfying result in both Churchill Downs and Oaklawn Park. He can be a promising one.

Who does not know NERO? He was spotted when he was making his brilliant debut at Del Mar. he was like a winner at the early phase of the racing but he ended up getting caught at the wire. He actually had plenty of energy to proceed but a small injury would make him miss some training. He has been working out steadily for the Kentucky Derby 2018. Bob Baffert is pretty confident that his horse will join the riot.

HE TAKES CHARGE. What a name. He is the son of Tapit. He made a memorable debut back then in Summer at Saratoga. He managed his debut by grasping some audiences eyes. Some were jaw-dropping since looking the dirt debut performance. He seemed to be promising at his dirt debut at Gulfstream Park. He finished the second behind the Pletcher horse in Navistar. But when you look at the previous race, it looked like too close. That means he was able to get longer than that. Mark Casse is ready to stretch him out to two turns in the next race. The promising results can be attained by this horse. His breeding is awesome and it can be counted by all the enthusiasts.

GIVEMEAHANDY is a unique horse that we’d also like to highlight. Definitely, all the views can see him in action. He will make an appearance in the Kentucky Derby prep races at Fair Grounds all winter long. He is maiden special weight. Although he is zero out of five, he is prevalently countable. His third-place effort, the closest that he could get, happens in the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga. There is still plenty of room to develop the horse. Not to mention that the upcoming one involves the long Fairgrounds Stretch run which is very suitable for his current running style. Dallas Stewart as the trainer of the horse will do the best so that he can manage his spot in the Kentucky Derby 2018.
